Amanda Jeanne DePrada Frey – Obituary

Amanda Jeanne DePrada Frey, 45, passed away on November 26, 2025. She was born on April 12, 1980, in New York, to Ariel and Jeanne DePrada.

Amanda was known for her radiant smile, a smile that could light up every room she entered, and for the gentle kindness she showed to every two- and four-legged friend. She offered comfort with an intuitive understanding of what people needed, always ready to suggest the right exercise, stretch, or supplement to ease an ache or soothe a pain. Her “magic hands,” as so many lovingly described them, could find and release even the deepest knots, bringing healing and relief to countless people. Being a chiropractor was more than a profession to Amanda; it was her calling, one she embraced with her whole heart and soul.

Amanda was an avid runner and ran several marathons, half marathons, and 5ks; however, her favorite runs were the early mornings, where she set out on quiet roads with her two loyal dogs trotting beside her, her personal “protection team,” as she called them, after more than one unexpected encounter with bears. These runs were her peaceful moments, where she found joy, strength, and connection with the world around her. Amanda also loved hiking and camping with her family and was happy as long as it wasn’t too hot, no small feat in Florida.

She will be dearly missed by those she leaves behind: her husband, Randy Frey; her three precious children, Joshua, Jacob, and Julianna; her parents, Ariel and Jeanne DePrada; her sisters, Gina Olds and her husband Rob, Jennifer Webb, Jill Chastain and her husband Merritt; her brother, Ariel DePrada and his wife Luyi; her sister-in-law Kandy Ferris and her husband Shawn; her brother-in-law Joseph Parks and his wife Desiree; her mother-in-law Sandy and her husband George; and her countless nieces and nephews who adored her. Each of them carries the immeasurable imprint of her love.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Seminole County Animal Services.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm on December 13, 2025, at Forest Lake Church, 515 Harley Lester Lane, Apopka, Florida.

    Rest easy Amanda…

Amanda was my Chiropractor for years. Always listening to what was going on to make the best decision for adjusting me.

We talked about many things. One conversation stands vm out. When she told me about the beautiful counter and kitchen Randy had made for her. Her smile and eyes lit up when she told me all about it.

May her family find solace in the lord and the loving arms of her memory.

    Godspeed

Amanda was my sister-in-law for several years. We shared a house in Gainesville, FL where her older sister Jill and I had our first child, Sophia. Amanda was studying veterinary medicine at UF while I was studying geology. Fast forward 15 years and my physical health was falling apart. I was lost in a sea of misdiagnosis in Houston. Amanda was able to give me the first correct diagnosis over the phone from Florida. She was amazing. She saved my life

I was Amanda’s grade school teacher in Livingston N.Y.
She was so sweet and to this day I have sweet memories I have shared. I did not know all the other journeys she had but she will not be forgotten even now. God be with her family whom I remember.

I was a patient of Dr Frey for a few years. We grew to be good friends and talked about are faith on almost every visit. I met her husband a few times as well as her amazing children. I know she is in a place with no more pain or worry about her condition. She never thought of herself first if at all. I know her family always came first and I heard about her loving parents on several occasions. She brought me back from so much pain because of her magic hands. She was an old fashion chiropractor that really listen to her patients and saved most people a lot of misery and pain. My heart is broken and I will remember her the way she lived. The world will be missing a true angel. God bless her children and husband who I will be praying for!!
